Stadnina Koni Krasne
The Krasne Stud Farm is one of the oldest Thoroughbred stud farms in Poland. The stud farm was founded in 1857 by Count Ludwik Krasiński. The basis for breeding were excellent mares imported from England. The stud farm existed until 1939. During World War II, the horses were taken to Germany. After the war, a State Agricultural Farm was established on the stud farm grounds. It was not until 1987, after good breeding dams had been brought to Krasne from various stud farms, that the stud farm was reactivated, with the intention of developing the breeding of racing horses. Currently, the stud farm has about 120 horses, including 35 breeding dams.
